Matt Paice appointed as EVP International Production

Â鶹Éç Worldwide Content & Production has appointed Matt Paice to the role of Executive Vice President, International Production. Reporting to Managing Director for Â鶹Éç Worldwide Content & Production, Wayne Garvie, Paice will be responsible for Â鶹Éç Worldwide's global production network and formats business.

Announcing the appointment, Wayne Garvie said, "We've spent the past two years establishing a formidable network of studios and partnerships around the world. Our next focus is building up these businesses through format development, increasing our commissions and ramping up production. Matt brings very impressive experience from both sides of the commissioning process so is perfectly placed to lead the team into this new phase."

Matt Paice added, "Â鶹Éç Worldwide's global production business is both renowned and admired in the industry – taking the helm at this new stage of its development is very thrilling and a challenge I can’t wait to begin."

Paice joins Â鶹Éç Worldwide from Diverse (Zodiak Entertainment) where he spent five years as executive producer on commissions such as Beat the Star (ITV1) and BAFTA winning children's series Election (Â鶹Éç ONE/CÂ鶹Éç). Previously, Paice was Commissioning Editor for Sky1 and prior to that Controller of Bravo which under his leadership was nominated for Channel of the Year at the Edinburgh TV Festival.

Paice will oversee a format sales and development team in London; production studios in India and France; joint ventures in Germany, Canada, Argentina and Australia; partnerships in Russia and Brazil; and work closely with Â鶹Éç Worldwide's US studios. In addition to overseeing established format franchises such as Dancing with the Stars, Top Gear and The Office, Paice will have a strong remit to develop new formats and expand the formats catalogue.

Paice begins his role in May, taking over from Colin Jarvis who steps down this summer.
