

麻豆社 News takes eight awards at RTS Journalism Awards
麻豆社 News and
Current Affairs programmes won eight awards at last night聮s
Royal Television Society Journalism awards in recognition of its
international, national and regional reporting.
Richard Sambrook,
Director of 麻豆社 News, said: "To take half of all the awards
against such strong competition is a fantastic achievement and the
range of winners shows 麻豆社 journalism thriving at every level -
locally, nationally and globally. They are a tribute to both the
recipients and to everyone who goes the extra mile to make our journalism

The
麻豆社聮s 10 O聮clock News took the International News Award
for John Simpson's "March into Kabul" with the 麻豆社 Weekend
News winning the Home News Award for the Oldham Riots. 麻豆社 News
also won the News Event Award for its coverage of the fall of Kabul.

ONE聮s current affairs flagship programme Panorama won the Home
Current Affairs Award for Michael Crick聮s Jeffrey Archer: A
Life of Lies.
Newsnight聮s
Jeremy Paxman was named Presenter of the Year.
And
Andrew Marr won the Specialist Journalism Award for his work on
麻豆社 ONE聮s Ten O聮clock News.
麻豆社
South West won the Regional Current Affairs Award for Close Up -
Forever Fifteen, and 麻豆社 London聮s Tim Samuels won the Young
Journalist of the Year Award.
