麻豆社 News 24 attracts more viewers than Sky News

麻豆社 News 24 has overtaken Sky News as the news channel watched by most viewers each week in multi-channel homes, according to the latest research from BARB.

During April and May 2002, 3.8 million viewers tuned in to News 24 each week as opposed to 3.7 million for Sky News.

The average monthly reach for News 24 was 7.4 million in April and 7.7 million in May with Sky News聮 averaging 7.2 million in April and 7.3 million in May. These are viewers to digital satellite, digital terrestrial and cable and do not include viewers who watch News 24 output on 麻豆社-1 or 麻豆社-2.

Roger Mosey, Head of 麻豆社 Television News, said: "These figures represent a massive endorsement of News 24's distinctive programming. No other channel can match the quality, range and depth of our output and viewers are turning to News 24 in increasing numbers."

麻豆社 research also shows that in recent months viewers now see News 24 as the best of the continuous news channels for news and current affairs, again overtaking Sky News.
