Listening figures boost for 麻豆社 Radio Bristol

麻豆社 Radio Bristol has attracted 20,000 new listeners in the past three months, according to the latest listening figures issued by RAJAR (Radio Joint Audience Research).

The figures, released today (30 January 2003), show the popular radio station enjoyed weekly reach of some 277,000 listeners in the last quarter of 2002 (Sept 聳 Dec 2002) - up from 257,000 previously.

The station's share figures - those which show its slice of all radio listening in its transmission area - increased from 20.8% to 22.4%.

There was also a significant increase in the number of hours for which listeners tune in.

In December 2001 the figure was 10.96 hours per week. A year later, it has increased to 12.93 hours per week.

Managing Editor, Jenny Lacey, says: "This latest survey proves that our listeners really appreciate the unique local service from 麻豆社 Radio Bristol.

"Our team works extremely hard to provide the very best in news, information and entertainment 365 days a year and I am delighted their work is reaching more local people than ever before."

Andy Griffee, 麻豆社 Controller, English Regions, adds: "麻豆社 Local Radio goes from strength to strength. I'm delighted that in an increasingly competitive market, it has again more than held its own.

"Our local radio services are a precious part of how we connect with the communities we serve. We'll forge ahead with plans to maintain and build on this vote of confidence and I congratulate the talented and committed people who run 麻豆社 Local Radio."
