Both SPL title deciders live on 麻豆社 Scotland

麻豆社 Scotland will broadcast both Old Firm Bank of Scotland SPL title matches live this Sunday as the race for the championship is finally settled 聳 allowing fans to follow the fortunes of either of the title challengers as the championship goes down to the wire in the final game of the season.

麻豆社 ONE Scotland will show leaders Rangers take on Dunfermline at Ibrox while 麻豆社 TWO Scotland will broadcast the Kilmarnock v Celtic match from Rugby Park.

The Glasgow rivals will both attempt to win three points 聳 but also score as many goals as possible in anticipation that the title race could be decided by goal difference or even the number of goals scored.

The move to show both games 聳 which also will be broadcast live on Radio Scotland - has been welcomed by 麻豆社 Scotland's Head of Programmes Ken MacQuarrie.

He held talks with the SPL yesterday (Monday 19 May 2003) to ensure fans have a choice of watching either game as the two go head to head in the closest title race in years.

"We initially secured the rights to show 38 live games this season but extending this by one match allows us to follow all the action as it happens on the final day of the season," said MacQuarrie.

"Added to our Scottish Cup games, UEFA Cup encounters including the final in Seville and Scotland international matches, this proves that the national broadcaster is at the heart of Scotland's national game."

Next weekend's Tennents Scottish Cup Final between Rangers and Dundee will take the number of live Scottish matches shown on 麻豆社 Scotland to 54, with an incredible 88% of the population tuning in at some point over the season.

Bank of Scotland Scottish Premierleague Director of Marketing Stewart Thomson also welcomed the decision to screen both games: "This is fantastic news for supporters of the Old Firm and football fans throughout the country.

"It's a gripping conclusion to a tremendous SPL season and it's fitting that both matches will be seen by hundreds of thousands of fans throughout Scotland."
