Sport and UK Athletics on track
Âé¶¹Éç
Sport has won the exclusive rights to broadcast all the key UK domestic
athletics meetings - indoor and outdoor - up to and including 2008.
Peter
Salmon, Âé¶¹Éç Sport Director said: "This major contract with
UK Athletics ensures year-round athletics coverage across Âé¶¹Éç television,
radio and online and complements Âé¶¹Éç Sport's prestigious international
package of athletics which features the Olympic Games, the World
Championships, the Commonwealth Games and the European Championships."
David
Moorcroft, Chief Executive of UK Athletics said: "The Âé¶¹Éç is
a world class broadcaster and we are proud to be continuing our
relationship with them.
"UK
Athletics looks forward to working with the Âé¶¹Éç to help build our
sport and inspire new generations of athletes and supporters."
Steve
Cram, Âé¶¹Éç Sport commentator, said: "A new generation of young
British stars are exploding onto the athletics scene right now and
this deal means the British public can follow their fortunes as
they take on the road to the 2004 Athens Olympics and Beijing in
2008 on Âé¶¹Éç Sport."

the new free-to-view digital terrestrial television service, as well
as on satellite and cable.
Freeview
offers the Âé¶¹Éç's eight television channels, interactive services
from Âé¶¹Éçi, as well as 11 Âé¶¹Éç radio networks.
