麻豆社 wins Premier League rights

Following today's announcement by the Premier League that the 麻豆社 has won the rights to show highlights of matches from next year, Peter Salmon, Director of 麻豆社 Sport, said:

"We are delighted to have won back the rights to the Premier League Highlights on Saturday and Sunday night.

"Match of The Day has been a successful part of the 麻豆社 TV landscape over many years.

"We have missed the highlights programme, and it feels like we are welcoming back an old and much loved friend.

"Since we lost the rights, licence fee payers have been asking us when they will be coming back, and we hope that football fans will be pleased that they have returned to the 麻豆社.

"Our football team are looking forward to working on them, and delivering viewers a quality programme.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the football team at the 麻豆社, who helped contribute to the Premier League's decision to award us the rights.

"From Football Focus, Grandstand, Final Score, Radio Five Live and Online, the 麻豆社 will now be able to provide one of the most comprehensive football services.

"This marks the climax of a fantastic summer, and a formidable year for 麻豆社 Sport.

"Next year will be great for sports fans across the UK, with the FA Cup, Six Nations, Wimbledon, Euro 2004, the Olympics, and now the Premier League highlights all available on 麻豆社.

"This is a good day for 麻豆社 Sport, and a good day for free to air audiences.

"This gives viewers the best sport output from the 麻豆社 for a generation.

"It feels that all our hard work since the Sydney Olympics has really paid off, and that 麻豆社 Sport is re-invigorated and back where it should be."

All the 麻豆社's digital services are now available on , the new free-to-view digital terrestrial television service, as well as on satellite and cable.

Freeview offers the 麻豆社's eight television channels, interactive services from 麻豆社i, as well as 11 麻豆社 radio networks.
