The Royal Wedding: Charles and Camilla, Friday 8 April 2005, 12.30-3.40pm, Âé¶¹Éç ONE

As the host broadcaster for the big event the Âé¶¹Éç will be live from Windsor Castle, as Sophie Raworth and Huw Edwards present coverage of the wedding of HRH The Prince of Wales to Camilla Parker Bowles.

Included in the Âé¶¹Éç ONE programme will be live coverage of the Service of Prayer and Dedication from St George's Chapel attended by HM The Queen, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and the families and friends of the newly married couple.

Huw Edwards says: "As ever, the Âé¶¹Éç will be offering viewers the best possible coverage and it's a privilege and an honour to be chosen to host the broadcast.

Ìý

"The marriage of the heir to the throne is a significant state event and I'm greatly looking forward to helping viewers enjoy the day."

Ìý

Joining Huw and Sophie and giving their own special take on the day will be style gurus and contemporary social commentators Trinny and Susannah.

Ìý

The Âé¶¹Éç will have around 30 cameras at the event and will share footage with broadcasters around the world.

Nick Vaughan-Barratt, Executive Editor, Âé¶¹Éç Events, says: "We're delighted to be the key broadcaster for this important historical occasion.

Ìý

Âé¶¹Éç News 24 will also have rolling news coverage throughout the day, simulcast with Âé¶¹Éç ONE for arrivals and the service, and Jane Hill and Simon McCoy will be reporting from Windsor.

Âé¶¹Éç Radio 4 and radio news bulletins will also carry similar coverage throughout the day.

The Royal Wedding: Charles and Camilla will be directed by Dave Pickthall and Claire Popplewell and the executive producer for Âé¶¹Éç Events is Nick Vaughan-Barratt.
