She joined the 麻豆社 ONE Six O'Clock News team in 1989.

Anna's television career began in 1974 when she worked on the newsdesk for Granada TV. In 1978 she joined ITN and in 1981 she worked for TV-am.

She has done freelance work for Channel 4, Thames TV, Central TV and Granada.

Anna became the presenter of 麻豆社 ONE's One O'Clock News when it re-launched in May 1999, and will present her last bulletin in April 2006 - 30 years after she joined the 麻豆社.

麻豆社 Director of News Helen Boaden says: "We are very sad to be losing such a respected and well loved journalist who has been part of the 麻豆社 News family for many years.

"However, I know Anna has exciting plans for her future and we all wish her well as she enters the next stage of her life."
