Âé¶¹Éç appoints Chief Operating Officer of Journalism Group


Dominic Coles has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of the Âé¶¹Éç's Journalism Group.

Ìý

Coles, previously Director of Sports Rights and Finance at the Âé¶¹Éç, assumes overall responsibility for the financial and business operations of Âé¶¹Éç News, Âé¶¹Éç Sport, Âé¶¹Éç Global News and Âé¶¹Éç Nations & Regions – the divisions which make up the corporation's Journalism Group.

He retains full responsibility for negotiating sports rights, as well as remaining Finance Director for Âé¶¹Éç Sport. He will sit on the Journalism Board and the Âé¶¹Éç's Finance Board.

On Coles' appointment, Deputy Director-General Mark Byford, who leads the Journalism Group, says:

Coles took up the position of Chief Operating Officer, Âé¶¹Éç Journalism Group on 1 January 2007. He reports directly to the Deputy Director-General Mark Byford.
