Â鶹Éç Radio 1 has added 450,000 listeners in the last year and The Chris Moyles Show has posted record reach, according to data released today by Rajar (Radio Joint Audience Research Ltd.).

The figures - covering the period from 26 March to 24 June 2007 - show Radio 1's reach is up to 10.87 million, from 10.42m last year (10.55m last quarter).

The network's share is 10.3% - the same as last year and up from 10.1% last quarter.

Ìý

The Chris Moyles Show has 7.26 million listeners, breaking the record set last quarter (7.06m) and adding 470,000 listeners since this time last year (6.79m).

Ìý

The Â鶹Éç's five digital-only networks – Â鶹Éç 6 Music, 1Xtra Â鶹Éç, Â鶹Éç 7, Â鶹Éç Asian Network and Â鶹Éç Five Live Sports Extra – also continued their strong performance from last quarter.

Five Live Sports Extra has a record 866,000 listeners, helping the digital-only networks (excluding Â鶹Éç World Service) contribute around three million listeners every week to the Â鶹Éç's reach.

Â鶹Éç Radio's reach of 33.25 million is up on the year (32.85m) but down from last quarter's record high (33.46m), while share of listening – at 54.3% – is slightly down on the year (54.7%) and on last quarter's record (56.0%).

Â鶹Éç Radio 2 remains the country's most popular station, with 13.12 million listeners – slightly down on the quarter (13.25m) and the year (13.29m).

Share, at 15.6%, is steady on the year (15.7%) and the quarter (15.8%).

Â鶹Éç Radio 3's reach is 1.78 million – down on the year (1.83m) and the quarter (1.90m).

Share (1.1%) is the same as last year (1.1%) and slightly down on the quarter (1.2%).

Â鶹Éç Radio 4 has 9.48 million listeners – up on the year (9.19m) but down on the quarter (9.64m).

The station has a share of 11.2% – up from 10.7% last year but down on last quarter's record of 12.2%.

Â鶹Éç Radio Five Live (which records a combined reach with its digital service Five Live Sports Extra) has a reach of 6.10 million, up from 5.97m last quarter and steady on 6.14m last year.

Share is 4.5%, up from 4.3% but down from 4.7% last year.

Â鶹Éç Local and National Radio has a reach of 9.89 million (9.97m last year and 10.30m last quarter) and share of 9.8% (10.6% last quarter and 10.7% last year).

Five Live Sports Extra has a record 866,000 listeners, up from 682,000 last quarter and 658,000 last year. Its share is 0.3%, up from 0.2% last year last quarter.

Â鶹Éç 6 Music has a reach of 471,000 – up from last year's 354,000 and steady on last quarter's record 477,000 – while share is 0.3%, from 0.2% last year and 0.3% last quarter.

Â鶹Éç 7 has a reach of 738,000 (668,000 last year and 808,000 last quarter), while share is 0.4% – the same as last year and last quarter.

1Xtra has a record reach of 473,000 listeners – up on the year (284,000) and the quarter (465,000). Its share (0.2%) is up on the year (0.1%) and steady on the quarter (0.2%).

Ìý

The Â鶹Éç World Service has 1.30 million listeners – from 1.39m last quarter and 1.26m last year. Share is 0.7%, level with last year and last quarter.

The Â鶹Éç Asian Network has 455,000 listeners – slightly up on last year's 444,000 and last quarter's 452,000 – while share, at 0.4%, is up on last year (0.2%) and last quarter (0.2%).
