New Series Producer Programme for the nations and regions

A new year-long Series Producer Programme for experienced Â鶹Éç, freelance and independent producers based outside London is launched today.

Ìý

The programme includes a range of top flight master-classes focusing on honing skills across many areas including multi-platform production, understanding audiences and trends in technology, team leadership, managing talent and diversity. The programme also offers unprecedented access to top Â鶹Éç decision-makers and commissioners.

Ìý

Anne Morrison, Â鶹Éç Controller Network Production, said: "I'm very pleased to launch this new programme. Previous programmes have been very beneficial for the nations and regions and I'm looking forward to seeing what talent this new programme will bring us."

Ìý

Caroline Prendergast, Head of Â鶹Éç Training & Development, said: "This cutting edge programme will give talented producers the opportunity to learn from the very best in the industry while at the same time share experiences with each other."

Ìý

The programme is being run in partnership with The Research Centre (TRC), an independent charity and training agency for talent and business development within the creative content industry.

Ìý

Carol Sinclair, Managing Director of TRC, said: "We've been working with the Â鶹Éç for a number of years on developing key talent. It's great to be announcing the launch of this latest initiative which will help deepen the pool of talent in the nations and regions."

The previous programme involved development for 54 producers in total – 30 from Â鶹Éç centres in the nations and regions and 24 from independent production companies outside London.

Ìý

Deadline for applications is Wednesday 19 December 2007 and the programme starts on 12 March 2008.
