Adil Ray wins Best Radio Show award at UK Asian Music Awards

麻豆社 Asian Network's Adil Ray won the award for Best Radio Show at the UK Asian Media Awards (AMAs) at London's Royal Festival Hall.

Adil Ray's Drivetime show pipped Ameet Chana's Breakdown show, also on 麻豆社 Asian Network, Neev's programme on Kiss FM, Punjabi Hit Squad's 麻豆社 1xtra show and Suzi Mann's weekly Bollywood Top 20 on Sunrise Radio at last night's awards (Thursday 6 March).

The Adil Ray show was reformatted in May last year when it was extended to four hours daily (3.00-7.00pm).
听
It has made its name with an irreverent attitude and a comedic edge whilst maintaining its commitment to new Asian music.
听
Adil Ray said: "It was worth it to see the smile on my Mum's face! I'm very happy."
