New Âé¶¹Éç programme coming to Turkey's NTV


Âé¶¹Éç Turkish is launching a new current affairs programme on Turkey's leading 24-hour news channel, NTV.

From today, Dünya Gündemi (World Agenda) will be offering Turkish TV audiences in-depth analysis of issues dominating the global agenda.

Dünya Gündemi offers cutting-edge coverage of international news, focusing on issues which have a global and regional impact.

Ìý

From world politics and the world economy to environment and climate change, from the social and ethical impact of the latest scientific developments to arts, culture and sports – the Âé¶¹Éç's Dünya Gündemi on NTV will cover it.

At 10.30am local time on Wednesdays and Fridays, NTV viewers will be treated to the Âé¶¹Éç's 15-minute programme bringing them opinion, comment and debate on international issues.

At 7.15pm on Saturdays, NTV will run a special edition with a summary of the best content of the previous two editions of Dünya Gündemi.

The Sunday morning (8.00am) edition will include the highlights of the previous programmes as well as original interviews and reports of major world events.

Âé¶¹Éç Turkish was launched in 1939 and has since evolved into a multimedia service which offers its audiences news, information, reviews and analysis, placing events and developments in Turkey and the region in the global context.

Ìý

The programmes are broadcast at 07.00 and 18.00 Turkish Time on weekdays, 18.00 on Saturdays, and 11.00 and 18.00 on Sundays.

Âé¶¹Éç Turkish is available on shortwave and on FM in Turkey via the partner NTV radio frequencies.

Ìý

Turkish-speakers across the world can access the Âé¶¹Éç Turkish output in text and audio, via the service's website bbcturkish.com.
