Richard Madeley guests on Radio 5 Live

Richard Madeley, one half of acclaimed daytime television couple Richard and Judy, will present three programmes on Â鶹Éç Radio 5 Live between Tuesday 20 and Thursday 22 January 2009.

Madeley, who started his broadcasting career as a news producer and presenter at Â鶹Éç Radio Cumbria, will stand-in for Richard Bacon while he is away, hosting the evening phone-in on the day's topical issues.

Richard Madeley says: "I've always hugely enjoyed contributing and listening to 5 Live and I'll get a real kick out of guesting on it for a few days. We're going to have some fun."

His stint on 5 Live came about following his guest appearance on Simon Mayo's afternoon programme earlier this year.

Richard Madeley and his wife Judy Finnigan came to national prominence hosting ITV's This Morning, before moving to Channel 4 to host Richard and Judy.

They have recently moved to the channel Watch, hosting Richard And Judy's New Position.
