Reporting to Â鶹Éç Future Media & Technology (FM&T) Director Erik Huggers, Kortekaas will be responsible for the all Â鶹Éç's output on mobile platforms and the multiplatform delivery of Audio & Music content.

"Mobile is also a big part of our plans. The Â鶹Éç iPlayer has made our great content available, mobile and on-demand, through a wide range of devices.

"This has helped Â鶹Éç mobile to become our fastest growing service, and in Mark we are recruiting an executive who will help us build on this progress."

Mark Kortekaas said: "As well the amazing content the Â鶹Éç produces, it's leading the industry in reaching diverse audiences on multiple platforms in truly innovative ways. I'm very much looking forward to becoming a part of the team."
