Chef/restaurateur John Torode and vegetable guru Gregg Wallace look for the country's next star chef.

In the first of the semifinals, the six best cooks out of 132 contestants, selected over six weeks, battle it out for just four places. Each contestant is given a whole chicken and their choice of ingredients to make a stunning plate of food for judges John and Gregg. At the end of a tense half-hour two people will be sent home.
