Ethelbert and his friend Dilip travel through the magic waterfall to different parts of the world, exploring, having fun and meeting interesting characters.

When Ethelbert sees his cousins playing in the river, he wants to join them, but he cannot swim. He and Dilip travel to Tasmania, where they meet a platypus who teaches Ethelbert to swim.
