Lady Dona St Columb is captivated by Jean-Benoit and he shares how he came to be a pirate.

As the local Cornish gentry decide how best to deal with the menace of the French pirate, Jean himself plans his next venture with the aid of a new accomplice.

Daphne du Maurier's classic novel is dramatised by Micheline Wandor.
