Amongst this week's requests from Radio 3 listeners is Bax's First Northern Ballad, recorded by the late Vernon Handley, a selection of Shakespeare's sonnets composed by Kabalevsky and Stanford's concert variations on the theme 'Down Among the Dead Men'. Young tenor Jonathan Ansell chooses to hear Bryn Terfel in the role of Elijah. Presented by Chi-chi Nwanoku.
