Sean Rafferty presents a special programme from the 麻豆社's Maida Vale Studios - the home of the 麻豆社 Symphony Orchestra - introducing a programme of London-themed music to celebrate 麻豆社 Proms 2009's Out + About events.

The orchestra is joined by 麻豆社 Radio 3 New Generation Artist trumpeter Giuliano Sommerhalder, as John Wilson conducts music by Holst, Walton, Handel, John Ireland - as well as the first-ever commission and world premiere for In Tune - a new piece by composer Richard Rodney Bennett. And jazz pianist and vocalist Ian Shaw is joined by Mari Wilson to perform songs inspired by London.
