Matt and Alex broadcast live from the Sage Gateshead, in a celebration of the north-east. Alan Shearer is in the studio and Iwan Thomas takes a trip down the Tyne.
Matt Baker takes The One Show summer festival to his neck of the woods, as he and Alex Jones broadcast live from the Sage Gateshead, at the end of the free two-day festival put on by 麻豆社 Learning.
A celebration of the north-east, Alan Shearer joins Matt and Alex at the Tyneside studio and Iwan Thomas takes a trip down the Tyne on a boat called Sir Bobby Robson. Historian Ruth Goodman uncovers the footprints of giant bronze age beasts on the Northumberland coast, and the team pit Newcastle against Gateshead in a tug of war across the Tyne.
