In Verdi's bicentenary year, his overture to 'Nabucco' opens tonight's programme, before the masterly French violinist Renaud Capu莽on joins the 麻豆社 Philharmonic and Conductor Laureate Gianandrea Noseda in one of the world's favourite violin concertos. In the second part of the concert the full power of Beethoven's heroic, and anti-heroic, Third Symphony is released.
