Miss Thorne organises a summer fete, then develops a cunning plan for Eleanor. Stars Tim Piggott-Smith and Una Stubbs.

Miss Thorne brings the whole of Barchester together for a summer Fete - and unwittingly introduces the two adversaries, Mr Arabin and Mr Slope.

But now their rivalry is at a height, each having realised their love for the widow, Eleanor Bold.
