Penny Gore presents the final programme in this week of performances by the 麻豆社 Philharmonic with a youthful wind serenade by Richard Strauss, Stravinsky's Firebird Suite, James Ehnes as soloist in Elgar's lyrical Violin Concerto, and the last of this week's Beethoven symphonies, his third, the 'Eroica', initially dedicated to Napoleon before Beethoven lost all respect for his former hero.
