Giles Swayne at 70

Music from the 麻豆社 Singers. Andrew Griffiths conducts performances of Giles Swayne's Missa Tiburtina and The Tiger, and Nicholas Kok conducts Robert Saxton's Five Motets.

Giles Swayne has long been a distinctive voice in the British choral scene and the 麻豆社 Singers have been singing his music for the last four decades. In a special studio recording the 麻豆社 Singers, along with conductor Andrew Griffiths, commemorate the composer's 70th birthday.

Another of the composers that pushes the boundaries of choral music is Robert Saxton. His Five Motets, conducted by Nicholas Kok, round off this hour of the 麻豆社 Singers at their best.
