National Trust on Countryside Spending, Wheat and Barley Harvest, Sea Eagles, Poultry

Reports on the wheat and barley harvests, the National Trust calls for a radical change to the way that farming is funded and how sea eagles impact on Scottish sheep farmers.

It's harvest time and once again the British weather has impacted on barley and wheat yields. The National Trust calls for a radical change to the way that farming is funded post-Brexit. There's reaction to our report on plans for a new poultry unit and our rewilding series continues with a feature on sea eagles in Scotland. They were reintroduced forty years ago but some farmers complain that the large birds have been taking their newborn lambs.
