Lise Berthaud
Viola player and former Radio 3 New Generation Artist Lise Berthaud is joined by pianist Francois Pinel in a recording of Schubert's Sonata in A minor, D821 (Arpeggione).
The Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme exists to nurture and promote some of the world's finest young musicians at the start of their international careers. The French viola player Lise Berthaud was a member of the scheme from 2013-15 and gives the world premiere of a new work written specially for her by Sally Beamish at the 麻豆社 Proms in just over a week's time. Tonight, a chance to hear her in a recording made specially for Radio 3, of one of Schubert's greatest chamber works.
