His guests include mezzo-soprano Lore Lixenberg and Woodrow Kernohan who are staging a 'sonic intervention' in the John Hansard Gallery in Southampton, and viol player Richard Boothby, one of the founding members of Fretwork. Sean speaks to Mark Elder ahead of the Halle's opening concert at the Cheltenham Music Festival and also hears about Mark's involvement with Opera Rara's ambitious new project. Plus the winners of the 麻豆社 Proms Inspire Young Composers' Competition 2018 are announced by composer Dobrinka Tabakova, one of this year's judges.
