In the Bridge Farm shop Hannah asks Tony if he鈥檚 looking forward to Tom鈥檚 Nuffield presentation. She鈥檚 surprised to hear it鈥檒l be quite a glamourous affair. Lilian joins them, saying she regrets not being able to go herself. Lilian tells Tony all about last night鈥檚 Canterbury Tales rehearsal. Lynda did not respond well to Jim鈥檚 notes.

Peggy鈥檚 anxious for Christine to return home. Tony and Lilian urge her to be patient. Peter wants her to stay at The Laurels for as long as she needs to. Peggy鈥檚 worried that Christine is losing her 鈥済et up and go鈥�. She saw the same thing in countless people when she was visiting Jack.

Lexi returns from Bulgaria and discovers that Roy has made a massive effort to welcome her home. He鈥檚 even attempted to make banistsa! Roy鈥檚 hopes of a quiet evening in are dashed when Lexi suggests a walk around the village. He鈥檚 also wrong-footed when Lexi announces that she鈥檚 got an interview at the chicken factory. He鈥檇 assumed she wanted to come back to Grey Gables, and been looking forward to them working together. Lexi apologises for being so tired this evening, and retires to bed. She doesn鈥檛 even try the banitsa.
