More about the programme
It鈥檚 estimated that 1 in 20 women will experience extensive physical and sexual violence during their lifetime 鈥 compared to 1 in 100聽men.
More than half of those women will experience a common mental health problem, one in five will experience homelessness and one in three an alcohol problem.
When it comes to seeking help, the聽evidence suggests that gender-specific services work well for women 鈥 especially those with multiple or complex needs.聽
Such services could save those women a lot of pain and anxiety 鈥 and society a lot of money.聽
Yet large parts of Wales lack such provision.
