An Litir Bheag 730
Bha mi ag innse dhuibh na sgeulachd 鈥楴a Sia Bonnaich Bheaga鈥. Bha am famhair na chadal. Rinn a nighean sia bonnaich bheaga. Chuir i fear ri taobh an teine agus fear aig uisge nan cas. Chuir i fear aig doras an t-se貌mair agus fear aig doras a鈥 chidsin. Chuir i fear ri taobh na leapa agus fear aig a鈥 bhobhstair. Theich i fh猫in agus an gille.
Dh霉isg am famhair. 鈥楢 bheil thu a鈥 dol a laighe, a nighean?鈥 ghlaodh e.
鈥楾ha mi a鈥 sm脿ladh an teine,鈥 thuirt am bonnach beag aig an teine.
Chaidil am famhair a-rithist. Dh霉isg e is thuirt e, 鈥楢 bheil thu a鈥 dol a laighe, a nighean?鈥
鈥楾ha mi a鈥 glanadh mo chasan,鈥 ars am bonnach ri taobh uisge nan cas.
Chaidil am famhair a-rithist. Dh霉isg e is thuirt e, 鈥楢 bheil thu a鈥 dol a laighe, a nighean?鈥
鈥楾ha mi a鈥 fosgladh an dorais,鈥 ars am bonnach aig doras an t-se貌mair.
Nuair a dh霉isg am famhair a-rithist, thuirt e, 鈥楢 bheil thu a鈥 dol a laighe?鈥
鈥楾ha mi a鈥 glasadh an dorais a-muigh,鈥 thuirt am bonnach aig doras a鈥 chidsin.
Thachair an aon rud a-rithist. 鈥楾ha mi a鈥 cur dh矛om m鈥 aodaich,鈥 ars am bonnach ri taobh na leapa.
Agus a-rithist. 鈥楾ha mi a鈥 togail m鈥 aodaich-oidhche,鈥 ars am bonnach aig a鈥 bhobhstair.
An ath thuras a dh霉isg am famhair, cha d鈥 fhuair e freagairt. Dh鈥櫭╥rich e agus dh鈥檉halbh e.聽
Chuala an nighean am famhair. Bha e a鈥 tighinn faisg. Bha laigse aige. Bha ball-d貌rain air. Thog an nighean ubhal 貌ir. Dh鈥檃mais i air a bhall-dh貌rain e. Thuit am famhair marbh.
Bha an nighean agus an gille faisg air baile m貌r. 鈥楳a bheir thu p貌g do bheathach no duine anns a鈥 bhaile,鈥 thuirt i, 鈥榗ha bhi cuimhn鈥 agad gun robh mo leithid ann.鈥
Nuair a r脿inig an gille am baile, bha c霉 ann. Thug an c霉 p貌g dha. Dh矛ochuimhnich an gille nighean an fhamhair. Fhuair e obair ann an taigh an r矛gh. Ghabh nighean an r矛gh gaol air. Bha iad a鈥 dol a ph貌sadh.
Bha nighean an fhamhair a鈥 coimhead airson obair is 脿ite-fuirich. Fhuair i obair aig gobha. Agus bheir mi an st貌iridh gu cr矛ch an-ath-sheachdain.

The Little Letter 730
I was telling you the story 鈥楾he Six Wee Bannocks鈥. The giant was asleep. His daughter made six wee bannocks. She put one beside the fire and one at the foot-water. She put one at the bedroom door and one at the kitchen door. She put one beside the bed and one at the mattress. She and the lad fled.
The giant woke. 鈥楢re you going to bed, daughter?鈥 he called.
鈥業鈥檓 smooring the fire,鈥 said the wee bannock by the fire.
The giant slept again. He woke and he said, 鈥楢re you going to bed, daughter?鈥
鈥業鈥檓 cleaning my feet,鈥 said the bannock by the foot-water.
The giant slept again. He woke and he said, 鈥楢re you going to bed, daughter?鈥
鈥業鈥檓 opening the door,鈥 said the bannock at the bedroom door.
When the giant woke again, he said, 鈥楢re you going to bed?鈥
鈥業鈥檓 locking the outside door,鈥 said the bannock at the kitchen door.
The same thing happened again. 鈥業鈥檓 taking my clothes off,鈥 said the bannock beside the bed.
And again. 鈥業鈥檓 picking up my night-clothes,鈥 said the bannock at the mattress.
The next time the giant woke, he didn鈥檛 receive a reply. He rose and left.
The daughter heard the giant. He was coming close. He had a weakness. He had a mole. The daughter picked up a golden apple. She aimed it at his mole. The giant fell dead.
The daughter and the lad were close to a big town. 鈥業f you kiss an animal or person in the town,鈥 she said, 鈥榶ou won鈥檛 remember that the likes of me existed.鈥
When the lad reached the town, there was a dog there. The dog gave him a kiss. The lad forgot the giant鈥檚 daughter. He got work in the king鈥檚 house. The daughter of the king fell in love with him. They were going to marry.
The giant鈥檚 daughter was looking for work and lodgings. She got work with a blacksmith. And I鈥檒l conclude the story next week.
