Sue Barker presents live coverage as the women’s tournament reaches the crucial quarter-final stage at the All England Club, Wimbledon.

This time last year, Germany’s eventual champion Angelique Kerber was among the women in quarter-final action – easing past Russia’s Daria Kasatkina in straight sets.

Serena Williams’ progress into the semi-finals was less serene – the American had to come from a set down against unseeded Italian Camila Giorgi to secure her passage to the last four.
