The Grundy鈥檚 have a screw loose and Rex鈥檚 confidence takes a knock

Pip takes Rosie to see Rex and the pigs; she tells Rex she's still struggling to find Rosie a nursery. Rex explains he鈥檚 still having trouble with Basil the boar. If he can鈥檛 produce any piglets, Rex will end up looking like an amateur to Tom. After their meeting with Phoebe, they share their fears about how Kate will represent their case for Home Farm land to the partnership. Pip reckons it鈥檒l be close.
Ed wants to get a move on with the cider pressing, but Clarrie is fussing over Will. He鈥檚 pleased to be having a fresh start for himself and Poppy. Ed鈥檚 feeling smothered by Clarrie鈥檚 constant mothering; they鈥檙e not children anymore. Ed and Will work as quickly as possible to be finished in time for Poppy鈥檚 birthday tea, but disaster strikes and a key screw from the cider press breaks. The screw鈥檚 ancient, possibly Victorian, so it鈥檒l be nigh on impossible to replace. Eddie won鈥檛 countenance buying a modern press. Grange Farm cider and the cider club are a ray of hope for the village, so whatever it takes, they鈥檝e got to find a way to get the cider flowing again.
