Kirsty and Helen go in search of fancy dress costumes for The Bull鈥檚 New Year鈥檚 Eve party. They fall about laughing; all of the outfits look awful.
Justin offers Phoebe a lift home and quizzes her about her progress with the rewilding. She admits that things are still tense with Pip and Rex. She asks Justin if he鈥檒l put in a good word for Brian, but he鈥檚 making no promises. After all, Brian betrayed his trust.
Lee catches Tony and offers his thanks for Christmas lunch. He explains that he knows all about Helen鈥檚 relationship with Rob and wants to assure Tony that he鈥檇 never hurt Helen in any way. Tony invites Lee to help him spread a straw bed for the steers. Tony apologises for his brusque treatment of Lee. He felt he failed Helen after the situation with Rob, and is now suspicious of other men coming into her life. Helen returns from her shopping trip and Lee is alarmed to discover the New Year鈥檚 Eve party at The Bull is fancy dress. Helen assures him that her costume will be a good surprise. They agree that this year, they鈥檒l get New Year right.
