Lynda plans a special evening and Emma realises what is important.

Alone in the bird hide, Robert is pleased to have found Edmund to be fraudulent in his birdwatching claims. He resists calling Lynda to see how she is and wonders what the surprise is that she is setting up at home. Meanwhile, Lynda鈥檚 preparing a meal for her and Robert 鈥 she wants it to be a special evening 鈥 but she worries about how she looks. She鈥檚 glad she鈥檚 got over her back trouble from last week, to which Monty was the only witness.
Emma鈥檚 still not heard anything from Fallon about her job, but seeing Lynda has put things in perspective. Emma told her she looked beautiful when she dropped off some cake for her surprise supper. Emma鈥檚 impressed with Lynda鈥檚 recovery and the effort she and Robert make for one another. She鈥檚 inspired to make time for her and Ed as everyday life has got in the way of their reunion and brought their honeymoon period to an end.
Robert loves Lynda鈥檚 surprise and puts any quietness on Lynda鈥檚 part down to tiredness. Anyway he鈥檚 happy to sit in silence with Lynda knowing that she is happy. But while fetching the dessert, Lynda worries the evening is not going well. She feels silly, shy and out of conversation. She assures herself everything will be fine once they are upstairs 鈥 their bodies can do the talking. She decides to return to the table and kiss Robert; surely everything will then fall into place.
