Alice reaches out for support and Elizabeth finds herself having to say no.

Jolene and Elizabeth share a joke about the financial trials of running a hospitality business during the coronavirus pandemic. Jolene reassures Elizabeth that she and Kenton are there if she needs them. They pore over photos and memorabilia for Jill鈥檚 upcoming 90th birthday. Elizabeth likes Jolene鈥檚 suggestion of 鈥楢 Journey with Jill鈥; much bigger than her own scrapbook plans. They admit these times have encouraged people to think more creatively, and remark on the unlikely result of the Best Garden competition; Robert beat Lynda to win it.

Elizabeth shares some of her dating exploits, and shocks Jolene with her tactics in putting off a particularly persistent bore by requesting nude photos.

Chris has planned a 鈥榤ocktails and mezze鈥 birthday treat for Alice but she鈥檚 not really feeling it. He鈥檚 disappointed but understands. However he鈥檚 worried she鈥檚 having to think about work on her day off as she deals with messages from Brian about farm business. Chris admits he鈥檚 never felt happier 鈥 they can relax and look forward to the baby. He鈥檚 attentive and indulgent as he makes her lunch, so much so that Alice gets snappy and stressed. Later she struggles to communicate her issues to a counsellor. She admits she sometimes feels crowded, but also lonely 鈥 and like she doesn鈥檛 care about anything, especially the baby.
