Katherine Parkinson

Mark and Stuart chat to actor and star of The IT Crowd Katherine Parkinson.

Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie present a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast

Today they are joined by BAFTA award-winning actor Katherine Parkinson. Known to many for her award-winning turn as Jen Barber in hit TV comedy series 'The IT Crowd' and her starring role in Channel 4 sci-fi drama 'Humans', Katherine has now turned her hand to writing. Her debut play, 鈥楽itting,鈥 was originally shown at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival before transferring to London鈥檚 Arcola Theatre. It follows three characters as they sit for a silent painter. Now the play has been adapted for the screen and was aired on 麻豆社 Four earlier this month.

Also on the show鈥 catch up on the best music and entertainment stories of the past week in 鈥楾his Week In Music鈥.

Plus... regular features 'The Chain' - our world-famous list of over 8000 interconnected songs - and 'Sampled Underfoot' which explores the samples used in some of our favourite tracks.

With a selection of music old and new to get the weekend started.
