It鈥檚 a big day for Ruairi while Brian attempts to pick up the pieces

Ruairi chats to Ben over an early breakfast before collecting his A Level results. They talk over what happened yesterday which has convinced Ruairi he鈥檚 not wanted in the Aldridge family. Meanwhile, Alice tries to convince Brian she feels terrible for what she said yesterday and she will fix it. Furious Brian doesn鈥檛 want to hear it 鈥 she鈥檚 caused a lot of hurt and he doesn鈥檛 believe her promise to stop drinking.
Ruairi opens his A-Level results in front of Ben. He鈥檚 got 3 A stars. Ben鈥檚 set to celebrate but Ruairi鈥檚 not so keen. He鈥檚 just ready to get out of Ambridge as soon as he can. Later, he messages his results to Jennifer who shares them with Brian. They鈥檝e been remembering when Ruairi was little; Brian cannot praise Jennifer鈥檚 efforts with his son enough, but Jennifer still feels in some way she鈥檚 let Ruairi down.
Alice finds Ruairi at Brookfield and apologises whole-heartedly for her behaviour yesterday. Ruairi wonders if she鈥檚 done him a favour by speaking the truth. Alice assures him that鈥檚 not the case. But Ruairi has already made plans to get out of Alice鈥檚 way. He鈥檚 going to Ireland to visit family and from there he鈥檒l go on to university.
