There鈥檚 a near miss for Adam, and Fallon makes a sacrifice.

With an unexpected crowd at the Tearoom, and Harrison鈥檚 willing assistance not quite hitting the mark, reluctant Fallon calls on Jennifer to lend a hand. Jennifer arrives and has a lot to say. She鈥檚 capable and efficient but the ultimate back seat driver for Fallon and Emma. Afterwards they admit to Jennifer they鈥檇 have been lost without her. When she asks if she was too bossy, they chorus of course not. Jennifer鈥檚 been pleased of the distraction. Alice comes home tomorrow. Fallon has a thought: she鈥檚 meant to be judging some of the bakes at the Flower & Produce, but something鈥檚 come up. Might Jennifer like to step in? Later Jennifer announces she鈥檒l do it. The Show means a lot to her, and although Brian thinks she has enough on her plate, she feels it gives her hope that things might be alright and she鈥檒l be free to do it. After she鈥檚 gone Fallon admits to Harrison there was no other commitment 鈥 she offered the judging to Jennifer to take her mind off things. Harrison loves Fallon for her generosity.
Exhausted Adam takes over childcare duty from Ian. But he falls asleep on the sofa and Ian discovers Xander鈥檚 been in the kitchen, helping himself to the knife drawer. Ian鈥檚 furious, and Adam鈥檚 apologetic. Ian relents; he can see Adam鈥檚 tired, they鈥檒l work it out. Adam pledges to mitigate the tiredness by getting more rest, and promises it will ease once he gets used to his new job and the commute. This won鈥檛 happen again.
