The Blessed Madonna explores the incredibly influential music of Bob James, the American pianist and composer who is arguably the most sampled jazz musician in the history of hip-hop. Parts of his now famous compositions like 鈥淣autilus鈥� and 鈥淭ake Me to the Mardi Gras鈥� have been endlessly loaded into MPCs, SP-1200s, and various other sampling devices for well over two decades. And those loops have formed some of rap's most recognisable records, like Ghostface Killah鈥檚 鈥淒aytona 500,鈥� and Warren G's 鈥淩egulate.鈥�
