It’s another two hours of the finest music, with Seventies hit and rarities all the way.

Johnnie’s here with his pick of the very best rock and pop from this remarkable decade.

This week, we lost the acclaimed Geordie musician John Miles, the man behind that extraordinary 1976 hit ‘Music’, at the age of 72. We’ll pay tribute to him, plus all the usual features are here too.

One Of A Kind is a 1977 song that’ll make all telephone engineers smile, whilst the latest addition to Johnnie’s Jukebox is a fantastic slice of rock from 1979.

This Week In Music has archive clips from three great musicians who are all celebrating birthdays - Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones, Paul Rodgers from Free and Bad Company, and Tom Verlaine from the band Television.

Plus we’ve more of your stories, requests and dedications, so get in touch anytime for a mention on one of our future shows including next week’s pre-Christmas bonanza: walker@bbc.co.uk
