The Grundys look forward to new arrivals, and Helen鈥檚 concerned about the neighbours.

Helen and Lee pop round to Joy鈥檚 to apologise for Henry playing loud music, but Joy doesn鈥檛 mind at all. She gives them an apple pie and when they thank her, she says it鈥檚 because she鈥檚 got an ulterior motive. Mick鈥檚 uncle has given him a hot tub which Mick鈥檚 having installed at Joy鈥檚. So there might be a bit of disruption from noisy workmen for a couple of days.

George鈥檚 turkey contact Bronco lets him know that his 15 turkey poults are ready for collection. They鈥檙e a bit smaller than their regular turkeys, because they鈥檙e a slow-growing heritage turkey. George reckons they could charge more for rare breeds, so they鈥檒l make a good profit on them. Eddie and Clarrie are impressed and tell George he鈥檚 being very enterprising. But when George collects them, it鈥檚 clear to Eddie that they鈥檙e not turkey poults 鈥 they鈥檙e pheasants! Clarrie says it sounds like Bronco鈥檚 nothing but a con artist, George has been had. When they question George about Bronco鈥檚 whereabouts, George doesn鈥檛 have any details apart from his phone number. Quick-thinking George reckons Eddie will still get his money back; George can raise the pheasants and sell them to the shoot. Later Eddie鈥檚 impressed when he sees George building a shelter and sourcing food for the pheasants. But he then tells George he鈥檒l need reimbursement straight away for his outlay. When George protests, Eddie threatens to spill the beans about his mistake to everyone. George reluctantly agrees to start paying Eddie back in small instalments and to be at Eddie鈥檚 beck and call until the debt鈥檚 paid off.
