Pianist Clare Hammond reveals familiar and unfamiliar works in a new light, from searing vocal music to a glowing piano quintet.
Today on Inside Music, pianist Clare Hammond introduces different examples of how music isn鈥檛 always easy to engage with - from her gradual understanding of Grace Williams's writing style, to prisoners鈥� reactions to a concert she gave.
Clare also plays music by composers who have only recently been celebrated, from Dorween Carwithen鈥檚 witty opera The Sofa, to H茅l猫ne de Montgeroult whose music Clare thinks reveals our limited view of the Classical and Romantic styles.
