StiofĂĄn Ă DĂreĂĄin introduces them to Francis Joseph Biggar, a key player in Belfastâs Irish language revival and a founder of âFeis na nGlinntĂâ. Robert McMillen talks through the history of the cityâs newspapers and how they came mainly to be based in the Library Quarter. Professor FionntĂĄn de BrĂșn shares his research on the Fadgies, a group of Irish speakers from Omeath who settled in Belfast in the late 19th Century. Jack Mac ĂomhĂĄir gives us a flavour of the music scene in the Smithfield & Union Quarter and Conor Torbitt explains that the cityâs unofficial LGBTQ Quarter is to be found there too.
