The Venerable Dr Hayley Matthews
A service led by The Venerable Dr Hayley Matthews, archdeacon of Wrexham.
The evening edition of the programme includes My Favourite Hymn.
'Some mothers do 鈥榓ve 鈥榚m'.
The fourth Sunday in Lent has a couple of labels, 鈥楲aetare鈥 or 鈥楻efreshment鈥 Sunday when Christians allow themselves a break from any seasonal fasting.
It鈥檚 also known as Mothering Sunday and in our service today, the Venerable Dr Hayley Matthews, Archdeacon of Wrexham, explores the notion that for all of us 鈥 whatever our gender 鈥 mothering isn鈥檛 confined solely to those who give birth. The childless, the elderly and the male can mother others including those who most need it.
Bible readings are from Exodus chapter 2. verses 1-10 and John chapter 19:verses 25-27.
Hymns include Love divine all loves excelling,' Lord of all hopefulness', and 'I am coming Lord' (Mi glyfer dyner lais) sung to 'Gwahoddiad'.
The evening edition of the programme includes My Favourite Hymn.
