Elizabeth Alker introduces exclusive recordings made at some of this year鈥檚 summer music festivals. Award-winning French guitarist Raphael Feuillatre makes his Edinburgh International Festival debut with an exploration of Baroque music. It鈥檚 a particular interest of his. Today he plays his own arrangement of music by JS Bach, alongside works by Scarlatti, Francois Couperin and Jacques Duphly. Plus the Leonore Piano Trio play a work admired and performed by Johannes Brahms, Clara Schumann鈥檚 Piano Trio.

From this year鈥檚 麻豆社 Proms the 麻豆社 Symphony Orchestra and Sakari Oramo present a programme which includes Richard Strauss鈥檚 epic musical depiction of a journey into the Alps - An Alpine Symphony - inspired by a climbing trip the composer made as a young teen.
