Vernon brings the big tunes!

Singer-songwriter Sananda Maitreya shares his penultimate favourite song choices on this weeks Tracks Of My Years.

Sananda launched his career in 1987 with his debut studio album 鈥業ntroducing the Hardline According to Terence Trent D'Arby鈥� along with the hit singles 鈥業f You Let Me Stay鈥�, 鈥楽ign Your Name鈥�, 鈥楧ance Little Sister鈥� and 鈥榃ishing Well鈥�. The album went on to win him a Grammy for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and a BRIT Award for International Breakthrough Act.

Formally known as Terence Trent D'Arby, he changed names in 2001 to Sananda Maitreya and released his first album in 8 years, 鈥榃ildcard鈥�. He鈥檚 since gone on to release nine more studio albums and four live albums.

Sananda performed at his first UK concert in over 20 years at the Love Supreme Jazz Festival in May this year and he鈥檚 just released his 13th studio album 鈥楾he Pegasus Project: Pegasus & The Swan鈥�. The full album features 41 tracks, completing the arc after four different recording sessions over the span of 18 months starting with his 鈥楶rometheus & Pandora鈥� album in 2017 and continued on to the 2021鈥檃lbum 鈥楶andora鈥檚 PlayHouse鈥�.
