Mark Radcliffe presents a Â鶹Éç Proms celebration of singer and songwriter Nick Drake from London’s Royal Albert Hall with the Â鶹Éç Symphony Orchestra directed by Jules Buckley.

There has never been an artist quite like Nick Drake, one of the great poets of the folk-rock movement. 50 years on from his death at the age of just 26, the British singer-songwriter has found a new, cross-generational audience – many of them beguiled by his fragility and fatalism, his music’s mingling of the outwardly simple and the inwardly complex.

This tribute features guest artists Olivia Chaney, Marika Hackman, BC Camplight, Scott Matthews, The Unthanks and Nick’s sister, the actress Gabrielle Drake, who performs poetry written by their mother, Molly Drake. The songs include River Man, Time Has Told Me, Pink Moon, Fruit Tree, Northern Sky and Saturday Sun.
