Live at the 麻豆社 Proms: the 麻豆社 Singers, 麻豆社 Symphony Chorus and Orchestra launch the 2025 season including a world premiere 'The Elements' by Master of the King's Music Errollyn Wallen.

Georgia Mann and Petroc Trelawny present live from the Royal Albert Hall, London, and are joined by comedian & actor Nick Mohammed.

Interval: Petroc & Georgia are joined live in the box by tonight's soloist, Lisa Batiashvili, fresh from her performance of the Sibelius Violin Concerto and by composer Errollyn Wallen whose brand new piece The Elements will receive its world premiere in just a few minutes time.

The crash of the seas, the crumbling of city walls and a glimpse of the heavens: all come together in the 2025 First Night. There鈥檚 a Scottish sound-picture from Mendelssohn and cool Nordic grandeur from Sibelius. Errollyn Wallen harnesses primal forces in her colourful new orchestral commission, while visions from the Book of Revelation are the starting point for Vaughan Williams鈥檚 Sancta civitas.
